- Swingining the Night Away
Learning about the "swing era" and how to swing dance was part of a monthlong, cross-curricular program to teach students about swing dance and the swing era. Troy Kozee, a math teacher at Hoover, suggested the idea. He enjoys swing dancing, knew some students had an interest and developed a program to tie it into his lesson plan.
